Lasting Power of Attorney

Court of Protection

Circumstances can change quickly and therefore it is important to think early about who you want to manage your health, wellbeing and financial affairs should you prove unable to do so. We can help you create an effective Lasting Power of Attorney (“LPA”) that allows you to nominate someone you trust to handle such affairs in the event that the worst should happen.

When a person does not have sufficient capacity to give the instructions to create an LPA, you need to make an application to the Court of Protection to allow you to appoint a Deputy to look after their affairs. We can provide expert and tactful guidance on making these applications. We appreciate that these can be very troubling and stressful times and we will be here to provide a supporting hand every step of the way.
